Aloha!

Because I'm not busy enough as it is, I decided to try and join another CT. I'm crazy like that. I anxiously awaited an answer and was so happy that Simple Girl Scraps liked what she saw about me. The first kit I've been able to work on is called East Coast Life and because I've been to a real beach maybe 1 time in my life, I wasn't sure what to use with it.

After thinking a bit more, I realized I had some pictures that I could actually use with this kit and then I danced a happy dance!

Ladybug Hugs

I am trying really hard to scrap more and more for myself than fulfilling obligations. I don't mind fulfilling obligations either, cause work gets done - I just need to get more done than I'm getting done.

Awhile ago, Trixie released a kit all about ladybugs and I was all over that kit. My nickname growing up was 'Bug' and my parents always associated that with ladybugs - so they've always been kinda my thing. When my baby girl was about 1, my sister gave her a dress with ladybugs on it and it was a favorite! By chance my brother in laws girlfriend got a picture of  my daughter in the dress, giving me hugs and by even more chance, one of the wordarts in this kit is 'Ladybug Hugs'. I thought it was a perfect title!

Trixie created another kit for iNSD, but I didn't get the layout made in time to actually account for anything. However, the kit was BEAUTIFUL and I wanted so badly to make use of it. I tried probably 3 different layouts before I came up with the one below and I just wasn't happy with any of them. I was getting really frustrated because I needed to have a page made with this kit. I just HAD to. Thankfully, I finally came up with this:

iNSD 2016 - Trixie Scraps

iNSD was coming up and Trixie went full steam ahead. In a matter of days she had completed 2 kits AND a template grab bag. I was amazed at what all she produced in such a short amount of time. And because I have the awesome privilege of being on her CT, I got to play with things early!

I first went with the template grab bag, because I like templates...I also tried to use a kit I hadn't used much before. I came up with LITTLE GIRL in the end.

Finally I worked on one of the kits she put out. When I posted the pictures I used for this layout on Facebook, Trixie told me she was working on a kit that would go perfectly with them. I was super excited and couldn't wait for the kit. When she gave us the kit, I saw that she was 100% correct and used those pictures. I give you: CHILDREN.
