Lil' Soldier

Another chance to play with a new kit that Trixie put out. She decided it was high time to make a kit about the military. It was a kit a lot of the CT girls were anxiously awaiting. I didn't have a use for it, as far as real military personnel goes, but I did have pictures that I knew would pair with the kit wonderfully.

A few years ago, my father in law decided he wanted to take all the grandkids to a fancy children's museum. It was quite a fun outing and at this museum there were dress up clothes for a few different jobs. (Yes, I feel a little bit icky if I stop and think about HOW MANY kids have possibly put on said costumes) One such costume was an army uniform and my little guy who was 6 at the time, made one of the cutest soldiers ever!

Sisters

It was time for a Wednesday Widom post on the Trixie Scraps blog. It's a post we do monthly where we share a quote that's perfect for scrapping. You should check it out.

I had the post for April and came across a quote about sisters that I had perfect pictures for. You can get the full story here, but I'll sum it up a bit. There were pictures we had taken at my grandma's 90th birthday celebration that I hadn't had a chance to scrap. So, this was the opportunity. All 3 of us were in the same colors, due to the fact it was decided that each of Grandma's kids families wore 1 color. This almost never happens, so I loved that we were color coordinated and the pictures are just great. I love being with my sisters and I'm thankful for both of them.
