Gingey

Following her brief respite, Trixie Scraps Designs came up with a beautiful kit for the Buffet Sale at Gingerscraps. She called it North Pole Sweet Shoppe and when she showed us the preview of the house that she drew up, I couldn't wait for the rest of the kit.

We got to play with the kit the day before it was released and though I didn't have a chance to use the house, I still had fun creating my page. This kit worked out perfectly for pictures I had of my little girl decorating little gingerbread men. She was completely serious about it and had a lot of fun decorating (and making a mess).

Home Rules Via Gnomeo and Juliet

So when Gnomeo and Juliet first came out I knew I had to see it. I have an obsession with gnomes and I also like Shakespeare. The movie quickly became a favorite and we bought it. And then it sat unwatched for who knows how long.

Then we bought a car with DVD players in it and I have a kid in kindergarten and if I pick her up with the car I have to leave 15-20 minutes early to get a 'good' spot. 15-20 minutes in the car not moving can be taxing on a 2 year old so I've tried to keep movies in the car that he can watch. However, after so long you get sick of the same movie. So it was time to stray from Rapunzel and Hotel Transylvania and find something new. After a quick peek at our collection I grabbed Gnomeo and Juliet.

After hearing 'the rules' a number of times, I knew I had to do something with it. They totally crack me up and I really am a fun-loving person. So I created a slat board sign with the rules. Totally loving it!

Tom Turkey

Our home was seriously lacking the the Thanksgiving decorations, so I used some of my birthday money to add just a little something to it. I found the perfect little guy at The Wood Connection. He was a small little guy, but it was the perfect craft to do when short on time.

Life Is Grand

Digital Scrapbook Day was upon us and Trixie created a template set. But she needed some layouts to go with it.

After looking through the templates I decided on a two-pager. I must've been feeling a little crazy again. With a large family and wanting to encorporate a lot of photos on one layout, I didn't have much of a choice. But, I love the end result.

We visited my husband's grandparents in another state over the summer and my mother in law made sure we all got pictures with Grandma and Grandpa as we're sure their time on this earth is growing short and we may not get out there to visit with them again. We sure got some cute shots, especially of the younger kids that made me super happy!
